❓Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
🔐 What exactly does KEYNOX do?
KEYNOX is the first decentralized wallet recovery protocol that operates on-chain.
Even if you lose your seed, your funds and NFTs are securely transferred to your designated backup wallet according to the recovery plan you previously defined.
🧠 How does recovery work?
In 4 steps:
Connect the Web3 wallet
Define guardians and the backup wallet
The recovery plan is written to the chain
If you remain inactive for a specified period (e.g., 30 days) or if a guardian approval is received, the recovery is triggered.
💸 Is there a fee for recovery?
Yes, a fixed $KNOX staking fee is charged.
This fee covers:
1% of the recovered assets are burned.
50% of the remaining fee is transferred to the DAO treasury and 50% to the protocol fund.
There is no direct deduction from the user's assets.
🔥 How does the burn ($KNOX Burn) work?
With each successful recovery, a portion of the staked token is burned.
The burn is sent to a stable burn address on the chain.
The burn is limited to a reserve of 15M $KNOX allocated for burning (10% of the total supply).
🛡️ What is a Guardian?
A Guardian is an address or person you designate.
Their approval may be required to initiate the recovery.
This is a social way to prove your wallet ownership.
⏳ How does Timeout work?
The Timeout feature automatically triggers your recovery plan if your wallet is inactive for a certain period of time (e.g., 30 days).
This provides backup security in cases of death, device loss, etc.
🧾 Can I also recover my NFTs?
Yes. If you select the "Include NFTs" option in your recovery plan, your on-chain ERC-721/ERC-1155 NFTs will also be transferred to the backup wallet.
🪙 What does the $KNOX token do?
It is staked to initiate a recovery.
$KNOX is locked for Guardian approval.
It grants voting rights in DAO votes.
Stake slashing is applied in cases of malicious behavior.
It is burned during every recovery.
It is used for DAO contribution rewards and task-based airdrops.
🏛️ When will the DAO be active?
The DAO will become active during Phase 5 (Q3–Q4 2026) of the DAO governance roadmap.
Parameter changes (such as burnRate, number of guardians, recoveryFee) will be determined by DAO votes.
📊 What are the token sale round prices?
Tour Price
Pre Seed $0.05
Seed $0.075
Private $0.12
Strategic $0.20
IDO (Public) $0.25
🧾 Is KYC or email required?
No. The recovery plan is recorded on-chain with your wallet signature.
No email or centralized system is required. Everything happens on-chain.
🌐 Which chain will it run on?
Ethereum (or Base) will be used as the mainnet.
Multichain support (zkSync, Arbitrum, Linea) will be launched in Phase 5 of the roadmap.
